Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord > [EN] General Discussions > Topic Details. Soddit Apr 16, 2020 @ 3:44pm. Crash when creating a new campaign. So on both 1.1 and the subsequent beta for 1.2 when I try to start a new campaign, after I select the culture background and click next, the game freezes when moving to the character creation screen.

It's currently an option on PC without 'mods' but isn't currently available on console. I'm on mobile and linking is a bit tricky, but there are a couple of Forum posts on the Taleworlds forums about it.

First, you need to switch Mount&Blade Bannerlord to the 1.6.1 version, here is how to achieve that. Go into your steam library, right click Bannerlord and go into properties then enter the Beta Tab. You should see this window : Chose Beta 1.6.1 like on screen. After ward, the game should appear in your steam library with the suffix [e1.6.1].
I prefer campaign and I'll tell you all about why! But PSA: People often state they don't like campaign because of the main questbut YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO
